Exchequer Bill, 1745, £100, raised for granting the Duties on Malt, scrollwork at left and right, black printing on thick paper, signed ´Walpole´, although numbered and signed, the date has not been completed in the lower half and the secretary has also omitted to insert a registration date on the bottom margin, quarter folded with surface dirt in the far left quarter, about very fine and a scarce type. Estimate £ 400-500 Robert Walpole, 2nd Earl of Orford (1701 – 1751), Auditor of the receipt of the Exchequer.
