Togo British Occupation Censored Mail 1915 (27 Apr.) envelope to Holland, bearing unoverprinted Gold Coast 1d. pair tied by "lome/togo" c.d.s. and showing manuscript "Passed Censor, S. Pope" in red ink with arrival datestamp on reverse. Rare. Photo Estimate £ 250-300 Note: Mr. Stead Pope was a Gold Coast postal official who accompanied troops to Lome in 1914. He later became Gold Coast Postmaster-General.
