Togo British Occupation Censored Mail 1914 (9 Sept.) envelope addressed to Captain in the Royal Engineers at Coomassie, Gold Coast, bearing unoverprinted Gold Coast 1d. tied by fine "lome/togogebiet" c.d.s. with another strike alongside and showing, at upper left, manuscript "Censored, Ra de B Rose. Lt. Col, Comd F.F.". The only recorded example by Martin & Walton. Photo Estimate £ 300-400 Note: Lt. Col. R..A. de B Rose commanded the Gold Coast and Sierra Leone companies in the Camerouns expedition and was made Officer Commanding the Allied troops in Togo on 30th August 1914.
