Great Britain 1840 Mulready One Penny Lettersheets Stereo removed with seal, showing comical additions to the design, dated 1840 (26 Aug.) from London to Ramsgate. In this witty lampoon of Mulready´s design the lion is laying on the hat of a man carrying a placard with the address, Britannia has wings, an oriental carries an umbrella and the native American has a tail!; small sealed tear to the flap on reverse and a trifle soiled.
