Orange Free State 1900 V.R.I Overprints First Printings 1d. purple, a mint study of the variety ".I." omitted in all three stages, comprising Stage 1 (4 with three variations of spacing, three in pairs with normal), Stage 2 corrected but with raised stop after "R" but no spaced type-piece between "V" and "R" contained in an upper left corner block of twelve (6x2), Stage 3 with fall out of "I." in three variations, contained in an upper left corner block of fifteen (5x3), a block of six (3x2) and a used vertical pair on piece; generally good to fine and a most interesting group of this complex variety.
