Falkland Islands Covers and Cancellations South Shetlands 1955-57 Aerial Survey Expeditions envelopes (2) from Deception Island to England, comprising 1955 (1 Dec.) from the first expedition bearing 1954 9d. and 1/- sharing c.d.s., showing "m.s."oluf sven"" h.s. in violet and bearing "hunting aerosurveys & geophysics unit" black on white label, and 1957 (3 Jan.) from the second expedition bearing 1954 1/2d. and 2d. with c.d.s. and showing "hunting aeroserveys" cachet in magenta; a scarce pair accompanied by two photographs, one showing Prince Phillip on his visit on 3 January 1957 and one showing Whalers Bay with seaplane and the Royal Yacht Estimate £ 120-150
