Antarctica 1921-22 Shackleton-Rowett Expedition by Sir Ernest Shackleton and succeeded by Frank Wild 1922 (21 May) G.B. 1 1/2d. brown stationery envelope, complete with letter, from Mabel Laverello to Devon, cancelled with two fair to fine strikes of the "tristan da cunha/south/atlantic" handstamp in black and by "s-r. antarctic/expedition1921" 25 May c.d.s.; the contents, written in broken English, being a letter of thanks for the parcel sent and a request to send boots, etc, together with a sample of wool spun on the island.
