Antarctica 1907-09 Swedish Magellanian Expedition by Dr. Carl Skottsberg, 1908 (17 Aug.) picture postcard (ruins of Valparaiso theatre after the earthquake) from to Lappvik, Finland, bearing Chile 3c. olive-brown pair lightly cancelled with c.d.s. and showing a superb strike of the "swedish/magellanian/expedition/1907-09" cachet in violet at upper left corner, arrival c.d.s. (date unclear) at foot; also a further card (stamps removed) from the same correspondence, showing the main avenue in Valparaiso before the earthquake, with an equally fine strike of the expedition cachet.
