Antarctica 1907-10 British Antarctic Expedition by Ernest H. Shackleton 1908 (4 Feb.) picture postcard (The Waimangu Geyser) from Bernard O. Day to Scotland, the message, written above the address, states "Cape Royds Feb 4th/08 Thought perhaps you would like a stamp as everybody is craving for one in New Zealand & only hope it does not get taken off in the post", the card bears New Zealand 1d. Universal (not King Edward VII Land 1d. as suggested) cancelled at Lyttelton on 7 March and with Paisley arrival c.d.s. (18.4) alongside; most unusual.
