Antarctica 1907-10 British Antarctic Expedition by Ernest H. Shackleton 1908 (16 Jan.) three page letter from Alastair Forbes Mackay "At sea Lat. 66 (circa)", written on B.A.E. Nimrod paper to Mr. Mackay with brief details of the voyage to the ice shelf; a few faults in places though a scarce letter from the second surgeon to the Expedition, just prior to the departure of the Koonya Estimate £ 150-200 Note: Forbes Mackay, a Boer war veteran and some-time naval surgeon, was a member of the shore party on Shackleton´s "Farthest South" expedition
