Antarctica 1907-10 British Antarctic Expedition by Ernest H. Shackleton, 1907 (31 Dec.) letter written from Wellington and handed to Shackleton´s party for posting from Cape Royds once the post office was established, the envelope addressed to the writer´s brother in Belgium and bearing King Edward VII Land 1d. (defective) cancelled with Expedition c.d.s. for 3 February 1908, showing partially struck tax handstamp completed for "30" (centimes) in blue crayon and with locally delivery numbered h.s. alongside the adhesive, the reverse with Lyttelton (7.3), Christchurch (7.3) and Brussels (17.4) d.s.
