North Borneo Mempakul 1897 (3 Aug.) envelope registered to Germany, bearing 1894 12c., 18c. and 24c. cancelled with oval of bars (Type K1, the earliest recorded date of use) and with superb "mempakul/b.n.b." c.d.s. (Type D2) below, also showing "registered/No." h.s., "R" in oval h.s. and Labuan transit c.d.s. (6.8), all on face, arrival c.d.s. (8.9).
