Gibraltar The Spanish Overland Mail Regular arrangements were made, about 1749, for the English Mails to be carried through Spain although the service was suspended in times of war 1765 (30 Aug.) entire letter from to the "Clerk to the Signet", Scotland with a request for a home posting, variously rated and showing a fair to fine strike of the very rare "Andalucia/le Alta" h.s. in red, fine "se/27" Bishopmark on reverse, interesting contents regarding illness, a French prisoner being beheaded, etc.; small edge faults otherwise fine.
