Florida Syndicate Ltd., £10 ordinary shares, part paid, 189(3), no.367, attractive printing by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. with scrollwork at left, blue with red seal, very fine. Estimate £ 50 This English company was formed for land speculation and in particular to find phosphate rich properties. Also purchased the Jacksonville Brick Company and the Hotel Montezuma in Ocala, but the latter was soon disposed of. The company acquired large tracts of land in Levy County and worked the phosphate mines and brickworks for many years until it was liquidated and re-formed as the Keighly Land Company in 1931.
