Hunt; served during the Indian Mutiny at Lucknow as part of the first Relief Force under the command of Sir Henry Havelock; and subsequent operations under the command of Sir Colin Campbell, November 1857 to March 1858; discharged May 1871, after 21 years and 208 days with the colours, of which 13 years and 5 months were spent abroad
