SPINK USA | The upcoming Spink Collector's Series Sale in New York, June 22 and 23, 2016, will feature a large and interesting offering of South and Southeast Asian coins and a fine collection of Maundy Money. Collectors will be pleased with the broad range of material spanning the spectrum from World and U.S. coins and paper money to Orders & Decorations, military medals and two collections of British and other militaria.

Beginning with hammered issues of Charles II, the Maundy collection runs through Elizabeth the Second's Tewkesbury Abbey 1971 set. The extensive English coin section also includes a nice run of Crowns from Edward VI to George V, and a handsome Rugby School Gold Prize Medal, 1911.

World coin highlights include a Chinese Fengtien Province Dollar Token, ca. 1904 struck in Copper; a rare Pahang "tin hat" Tampang; a lovely Brilliant Proof example of the rare Austrian commemorative 1908 100 Corona; complete gold and silver Albanian 1968 Proof set, and a nice group of Hong Kong Dollars.

The World Paper Money section offers a handsome group of French Colonial notes and a selection of Anglo-Boer issues from the Liebenberg Family Collection. Among the military medals is a Davison's Nile medal and a Waterloo Medal, while the Hammatt Collection of British Militaria features a rich array of 19th century helmets along with military portraits and dress tunics.

19th Century U.S. Pattern coins and attractive groups of Virginia obsoletes and Confederate banknotes highlight the U.S. Coin and Currency section. The important Martin D. Wiener Collection, meanwhile, is included in the Stocks & Bonds section, which concludes the sale.
