Brazil1845, 30r. black, worn impression, type II, two pairs showing nearly touching impressions, just slightly cut into in places, on entire letter at triple overland rate, dated 10 June 1847, from Rio de Janeiro to Jacarehy, tied by "Correio Geral Da Corte" cds's. Small portion of paper loss on reverse well away from the franking, and some splits along cover edges. A scarce overland rate paid by an elusive franking, of which, according to our records, only about ten are known. Cert. Moorhouse. RHM 5. Ex Benevides.
