PeruIncoming Mail1790, April. Cover to Lima via Cádiz, as confirmed by the boxed "5 Pta" marking (denoting payment for the double weight) and "Cadiz" straight-line, both in red. Endorsed "Sn. Pedro alias La Reyna", and docket inside stating the arrival of the "San Pedro" to Callao on 15 April 1790. Small erosion caused by vertical fold at top. One of just three covers known bearing the double rate handstamp of Cádiz for transatlantic mail. Ex Camino.
