PeruOutgoing Mail1808, Feb. 28. Cover from an unknown origin to Madrid, bearing a fine strike of "Peru" straight-line handstamp, forwarded via Cartagena-Havana-Cádiz. Two manuscript rates including "30r.v." (reales de vellón) and "55", being most probably the latter which paid the required postage for a weight of one ounce and 14 adarmes. A very desirable dated transatlantic mail.
