MexicoOutgoing Mail1840 circa. Folded cover from Mérida to Havana (Cuba), handstruck on dispatch with framed "Merida/Mayo 1" datestamp and "Franco." straight line, exhibiting arrival postmarks with small "Indias" straight line and "10" with additional "rs. pags." in manuscript (10 reales paid). Usual aging found on Cuban mail, and portions of paper lacking on reverse. This is one of just five stampless covers recorded with this very rare "Indias" marking.
