CubaOutgoing Mail1817, Jan. 24. Entire letter from Havana via Cádiz (as endorsed) to Bordeaux, neatly postmarked with "Islas De/Barlovento" two-line type (P.E. 33), very infrequently struck in black on departure, "Espagne/Par Bayonne" entry marking in France and annotated "15" (grams) and "20" (décimes) as per 15-20 grams rate. A very rare and early entire to France, and one of only about five items known with this postmark in black.
