ColombiaStampless MailIndependent Republic Period1842-60, group of five stampless covers with oval "Franca" handstamps of Medellín, Bogotá, Honda, Santamarta and Pasto, including the item originating from Medellín with also the framed datestamp (date illegible) and the "2" reales marking (as the decimal system was abolished in 1854, this may represent the earliest usage known); the 1860 cover from Santamarta also exhibits a forwarding's agent cachet, the "20" numeral (infrequent as the postage stamps were already into circulation) and the Medellín datestamp on arrival on front.
