Colombian AirmailsSociedad Colombo-Alemana de Transportes Aéreos (SCADTA)Consular Mail"A" Alemania (Germany). 1923, Aug. 25. Scadta 50c. postal stationery envelope (opened for display), in mixed franking with hadstamped 10c. in single, pair and two vertical strips of three, of which one showing two inverted overprints at top whereas the other exhibits one inverted in centre, uncancelled on arrival, with faint strike of large "Recomendados" c.d.s. at lower right on front; the German inflation franking is made up of 4,000m. (30), 5,000m. (2) and 20,000 on 12m. (7) tied by Berlin datestamps. Several faults and suspicion of some stamps missing at top (uncertain), and envelope reinforced with tape along lower edge, not detracting from this extraordinary and famous item. This is the only cover recorded bering these errors; its desirability is further augmented by the fact of being one of only four Scadta 50c. postal stationery envelopes so far known.
