ColombiaEighth Issue1866, 10c. grey, stone I, touched at top. mainly with huge margins showing portions of neighbouring adhesives which are, surprisingly, notably misplaced at base, tied by "Medellín./Franca." oval in blue on envelope to Antwerp (Belgium), paying the single inland rate to Colon, where it was embarked on a British steamer to London, rated "1/-" and "15", with alongside also showing fancy "Colon" Colombian postmark in blue. Reverse with London and Antwerp datestamps. Tone spots along cover edge at top. Of the six covers recorded in this issue addressed to a transatlantic destination, this is the only one addressed to Belgium, this being an exceptional characteristic in the whole classic period.
