1917-22 Italian Post OfficesPeking1917, 2c. on 5c. green, an extraordinary strip of three (vertical, lower left corner perforation missing) showing inverted surcharge at top and vertical surcharge at foot, 6c. on 15c. grey-black, variety surcharge vertical, and second issue 1c. & 2c. pair, all tied to registered envelope addressed locally by "R.R. Poste Italiane/6.5.18/Pechino-Cina" c.d.s.'s. Vertical overprints are very scarce; the se-tenant strip of three including vertical and inverted surcharges, unlisted in catalogue, is, to our knowledge, unique, and represents one of the greatest rarities of the Italian P.O.'s in China.
