Mexico1861, Guadalajara, 8r. black on red-brown, quarter used as 2 reales on June 6, 1861 entire letter to Guadalajara, tied by ornament handstamp (Schatzkès fig. 411), with corresponding "Franco/Tepic." oval (Schatzkès fig. 412) adjacent with "Junio 6" date inserted in manuscript. Also Colima, 8r. black on red-brown, vertical half used as 4 reales on back of 29 June 1863 entire letter to Guadalajara, tied by oval "Franqueado en Colima." handstamp (Schatzkès fig. 178); Colima received a total consignment of 500 stamps of the 8 reales (the last consignment of 4 reales denomination was already exhausted at that date).
