BulgariaMaritime MailRomanian Ship Mail1899, Nov. 29. "Small Lion" 5st. green postal stationery envelope from Ruse to Galatz (Romania), correctly uprated for the external rate with 5st. adhesive of the same issue, tied by "Vaporul Local Giurgiu/Roustchouck" c.d.s., which was used by Romanian steamships carrying mail across the Danube both ways from Romania to Bulgaria; the Giurgiu-Ruse route was covered by Romanian steamships from 1894 to 1916, these being the "T. Magurele" and the "Giurgiu". Of the just three items known exhibiting a combination with Bulgarian stamps, this is the finest. Cert. Hitzler. Mi. 31. Photo
