Austrian LevantThraceAdrianopel (Edirne). 1870, March 16. 5kr. postal stationery envelope from Neunkirchen to Vienna, cancelled on dispatch, addressed to Mr. Brustlein, engineer of the Ottoman Railways, returned to sender from Adrianopel with Austrian Levant 1867 15s. brown, tied by "Adrianopel" c.d.s. (Tchilinghirian fig. 947), also applied on the 5kr. at right. Reverse with two Vienna datestamps and Neunkirchen re-arrival handstamp and message "Brustlein est partí dimanche matin 6:30 avec le bateau à vapeur pour Constantinople". Envelope affected by slight vertical crease at right and two small edge tears, otherwise in fine condition for this extraordinary Soldi-Kreuzer combination cover. Cert. Todd. Mi. 5. Ex Heimbüchler.
