Telegrams, Telegraph & Telephone Stamps - The Professor Shaul Ladany Collection, Part IIBelgiumTelegraph Stamps1889, 25fr. reseda-olive, strip of five and block of fifteen making up 500 francs of postage, applied on reverse of large fragment of telegram addressed to Katanga (Belgian Congo), dispatched on 7 March 1893, with each stamp being punched (as per regulations), cancelled by blue-crayon strokes and octagonal "Bruxelles(Ministere)" datestamp. According to the postal rules, 500 francs was the highest possible rate to be paid with stamps, with this document consequently exhibiting the largest possible franking of this adhesive.
