Telegrams, Telegraph & Telephone Stamps - The Professor Shaul Ladany Collection, Part IIAustria1850, 3kr. red-salmon, ample to large margins, on registered "Telegraphische Depesche" envelope from Bozen to Meran, tied by Italic "Botzen" and dispatch c.d.s., displaying datestamp applied at Meran on back, with one side back flap lacking and probably part of the franking, to pay the compulsory registration fee, missing. The original message was transmitted by telegraphic means from Nuremberg in Germany to Bozen, from where it was forwarded through the mails to destination. Some minor soiling, wrinkles and edge imperfections to cover, still though a rare and interesting first-issue variety of postal history. Ferchenbauer € 10,000. Photo
