Collections and RangesRumaniaMoldavian Postal Manifests. 1859-62, a very interesting collection of 67 postal documents, with many also featuring postmarks including straight-line types or a significant array of standard Moldavian strikes, all mounted on exhibition pages with its corresponding descriptions, with mainly postal manifests/waybills (mostly in Cyrillic), which were used to accompany letters, money-letters and "porto", also including "Lista" items concerning registered mail, documents detailing long routes and the return journey with towns visited "en route", two visually appealing post-coach tickets, document accompanying the journey lending authority to the coachman, two receipts in respects of working funds supplied and issued by the telegraph offices with negative handstamps illustrated with shield, items for postal acknowledgement of receipt. A difficult group gathered after a long period of search, representing a considerable number of scarce items in, generally, very fine condition. Viewing essential.
