Latin AmericaMexico1861, Colima. 8r. black on red-brown, vertical half used as 4 reales on back of 29 June 1863 entire letter to Guadalajara, tied by oval "Franqueado en Colima." handstamp (Schatzkès fig. 178). Colima received a total consignment of 500 stamps of the 8 reales (the last consignment of 4 reales denomination was already exhausted at that date). A fine example of this franking. Scott 11c.
