Greece1861-86, Large Hermes Heads, a valuable assembly comprising nearly 300 stamps used and unused, including multiples with pairs, strips of three and blocks of four and shades, control-figures and plate varieties, with a good array of these issues from 1861 Paris Printing including, in unused condition: 1861 Paris 1l, 10l. (2), 20l (3, incl. one pair on very thin transparent paper); 1861-62 coarse impression 10l. ochre-orange and very scarce 40l. (mint and v.f.); 1861-62 fine impression 1l., rare and v.f. 20l. deep blue; May 1862 Issue with 80l. featuring orange control figures;1868-73 Cleaned Plates 40l. grey-mauve on blue in v.f. and scarce mint pair; Meshed Paper 10l. in very rare orange-vermilion on lavender shade (v.f. mint), etc. Also featuring four covers with single frankings.
