France1849-1959, a quite complete collection representing the classic, until Maury number 50, used in mixed condition, including scarce values with 1849 1fr. vermilion and 1853 1fr. carmine; onwards being unused and in generally finer state of preservation, with valuable "Sage" values mint and 1c. Prussian blue used (signed Brun), from 1900 virtually complete with the better semi-modern sets ("Orphelins") and values (1929 Le Havre). Other specialities include war stamps (overprinted "Richelieu" values, souvenir sheets with Paris 1925 used and Pexip 1937 mint, airmails with scarce examples (EIPA30), officials with "Francisque", etc. A comprehensive lot of high catalogue value.
