1858, 20k. blue and orange, printed on thin paper, a very fresh and fine example boasting a magnificent embossing, on double weight letter, dated 27 April 1858, to Libau, with the stamp being cleanly tied by "1" numeral dotted cancel with matching red St. Petersburg oval datestamp at bottom right. One of the finest covers known bearing the third stamp of Russia (as stated by the renowned expert Zbigniew S. Mikulski in his certificate), this being a very rare and desirable single franking, of fundamental importance in the advanced collection of Russia. Cert. Mikulski. Mi. 3y.
