1856, 60c. pale blue, position 21, a splendid example from the left margin of the sheet, very fresh impression with mostly huge margins and complete outer frame lines, tied to cover to San José by manuscript cross. The cover was sent back to the sender as a proof of delivery, with docketing inside by the addressee. The most spectacular of only three covers recorded franked in this delightful shade, also being one of only three marginal copies of this value known on cover, a very rare “Diligencias” postal history item.
