Four covers carried by French maritime means from Montevideo to Genoa (1) and New York (3), the first with 1l. postage due applied on arrival, with the other three showing ''Ligne J'' (Salles fig.1.076), "Uruguay/Saintonge" and "Uruguay" (with fleuron) octagonal datestamps, with one including Anglo French accountancy marking for 1 ounce ''FR./2F20c'' and ''New York/20/U.S. Notes'' due marking to be paid by the addressee, being carried by British packet to New York.
