1881, 2c. dark violet, three well margined examples, just one with framed line touched at base, unusually fresh in an intense colour, together with 7c. blue, two examples with ample margins, all paying a double weight cover to Nantes (France), tied by "Cap-Haitien/20 Nov. 82/Haiti" c.d.s.'s, French "Ligne F/Paq. Fr." paquebot c.d.s. also tying the franking, and backstamp on receipt. The only cover known featuring this combination franking. Cert. Moorhouse. Scott 2, 5. Ex Hubbrad, Bjâringer and Sabbatini.
