1876, April 26. Small envelope from Buenos Aires to Milan (Italy), franked by 5c. vermilion, in combination with France 1870-75 40c. and 80c., all tied by pen strokes in order to avoid charges on delivery in case of loss of the franking during transit, also with Buenos Aires c.d.s. and "532" dotted lozenge, the latter applied at Bordeaux on the French franking, showing interesting "Por Gironde" straight-line handstamp applied at Buenos Aires on dispatch at right, red framed "PD" and French entry at Bordeuax alongside, with transits and arrival on reverse. Small portion of paper loss at top left only affecting the envelope. A scarce combination franking. Scott 20.
