The Turnpike road was taken over by the state of Pennsylvania in 1911. Copperplate engraving on parchment, embossed stamp. Signature of William Bingham (1752-1804), Statesman from Philadelphia and delegate for Pennsylvania to the Continental Congress from 1786 to 1788 and in the United States Senate from 1795 to 1801.
