Real Compania de Filipinas. Accion 250 Pesos, 15 Julio 1785. #11243. The Real Compania de Filipinas was established in 1785 by a royal decree of Carlos III and assumed the functions of the liquidated Guipuzcoa Company. It owned the monopoly for the direct trade between the Philippines (then a colony of the Spanish Empire) and Spain. The company also had free trade rights for India and China. After abolition of its monopoly rights, the company fell into decline and was liquidated in 1834. EF.
