Before Louis Charles Joseph Blériot (1872-1936) started his famous career in aviation, he developed the first practical Acetylene headlamp for cars. For production and sales of his invention he established the Établissements L. Blériot. This manufacturing business was profitable, enabling Blériot the financial means to build a successful aircraft (See also Lot 103). Very decorative share showing two of Blériot’s new headlamps and their use on cars, ships and railways. EF.
