1871, May 13. Cover (side flaps missing) to Galatz, franked by large margined 10b. indigo, exhibiting complete sheet-margin at top, with couple of slight creases in margin only, decoratively tied by framed "Franco" and grill type, showing superb strike of blue "Gara Roman/Off. Postal" early station datestamp at right (Dragomir fig. 1096) and arrival. The spectacular marginal example is further enhanced by the very rare usage of this station postmark, this cover representing the finest of only two recorded, both offered in this sale. Mi. 22c.
