An early envelope endorsed "Via Marseilles/Paid" to Cawnpore (India), redirected to Bondai, bearing 1d. red stars (couple of short perfs. at base) and pair of 1857 4d. rose-carmine, each tied by "London E.C./75" duplexes, covering the single 9d. rate per 1/2 oz, with transits on reverse. A very fine and fresh cover. S.G. 40, 66.
