Ungebrauchtem Zwölferblock mit vollem Originalgummi, Typen 13-14-15-16 / 21-22-23-24 / 29-31-31-32 vom Druckstein B1, in leuchtend frischen Farben, allseitig breit gerandet und meist mit Trennungslinien zwischen Klischeen zeigend. In jeder Beziehung beste Qualität, nur mit minimem, unbedeutenden Riss im Rand bei Type 15. Es handelt sich um die grösstbekannte Einheit dieses seltenen Steins. (Verkauft für CHF 52'000 als Los 539 der Sammlung Burrus bei Robson Lowe / Urs Peter Kaufmann Auktion in Basel in 1964, illustriert auf eine der Farbtafeln des Kataloges als einer der wichtigsten Stücke der Sammlung; der Block wurde einige Jahre später in London angeboten und jetzt, circa 35 Jahre später, bietet diese Auktion, die wichtige Möglichkeit, dieser Top-Rarität zu erlangen). Rayon II without framed cross, the exceptional block of twelve, unused with original gum, types 13-14-15-16 / 21-22-23-24 / 29-31-31-32, B1 stone, of delightful freshness with very large margins on all four sides, mostly displaying the frame lines between neighbouring adhesives. The great desirability of this item is further enhanced by the absence of imperfections (a tiny tear in margin of type 15 is of no importance), this being a most remarkable feature for this large multiple. The largest multiple recorded of the rare B1 stone of this extensively used stamp. (Sold for CHF 52'000 and presented as one of the most celebrated items of the Burrus collection in 1964; few years later this item was offered in an auction in London and now, circa 35 years later,this sale offers a wonderful opportunity to acquire this gem).
