Zürich 4, waagrechter Unterdruck, Typen I und II, ungebrauchtes Paar mit vollem Originalgummi (stellenweise minim abgebröckelt), sehr farbfrisch mit erkennbaren Unterdrucklinien, voll bis überwiegend breit gerandet. Senkrechter Bug zwischen den Marken, der nicht den Druck der Zeichnungen berührt. In aussergewöhnlich guter Erhaltung für dieses Stück, eines der schönsten von lediglich sechs ungebrauchten "Zürich 4" Paaren mit waagrechtem Unterdruck bekannt (davon zwei zeigend Typen I und II). (Verkauft für CHF 70'000 am 16. April 1964, Los 323, Sammlung Burrus, Robson Lowe / Urs Peter Kaufmann Auktion in Basel, auch farbig illustriert als eines der bedeutendsten Stücke der Auktion; zum letzten Mal in der Öffentlichkeit damals angeboten). Aufgeführt und illustriert im "A propos Alt-Schweiz". Eine grosse Altschweizerrarität. Attest Marchand, signiert A. Diena und G. Bolaffi. SBK 1W = CHF 220.000. Provenienz: Mirabaud, Ferrari und Burrus. "Zürich 4", background of horizontal lines, types I & II, an extraordinary pair featuring original, slightly cracked, gum, of remarkable freshness enabling its background to be quite clearly exhibited, showing good to predominantly large margins. A faint vertical crease between adhesives, and consequently not affecting the designs, is of no significance for this, one of the finest of only six unused pairs known, this being undoubtedly one of the finest and possessing the added significance of still preserving its original gum (an outstanding feature for this stamp); two of the six pairs known exhibit types I & II. (Sold for CHF 70'000 in 1964, Burrus auction held by Robson Lowe and Urs Peter Kaufmann in Basel, illustrated in one of the few colour plates dedicated to the most significant items of the collection; offered for the last time at public auction on that occasion).
