Cover from Valdivia to Santiago franked by Second London Printing 5c., ample even margins, being required to pay the up to 5 adarmes rate, showing neat "VALDIVIA." oval handstamp -this item represents its earliest recorded use- in red alongside, with the stamp being very probably tied on arrival by mute cancel. One of two covers known, bearing different frankings, with this oval postmark in red. Ex Menéndez.
