1872, Oct. 28. Cover (bottom flap missing) from Tampico to Mexico City, paying the double internal rate for a distance above 16 Leagues with 25 c. red (Tampico, 40-72) tied by double oval handstamp on departure, in combination with 4 d. vermilion, pl. 12, applied at the British P.O. of Tampico from where it was carried by British steamship to Veracruz, with stamp tied by ´´C63´´ barred oval and corresponding double arc datestamp alongside.
