1853-1867. A fabulous and exceptional collection containing 93 items, exquisitely mounted on album pages with detailed descriptions, housed in luxury Frank Godden albums. Throughout this specialized collection an important quantity of highlights are included, which are representative of the importance of this assembly, these being the most significant: First London printing: ´´P.° de Copiapo´´ and red ´´Copiapo´´ (two covers known of each), ´´Valparaiso´´ (two items reported), ´´Chiloe´´ (two items recorded in the whole classic period), ´´Concepcion´´ in a very rare usage tying the franking, ´´Ballenar´´. Santiago Printing by Desmadryl: ´´Elqui´´ (unique, just one other item known, but being stampless, in the pre-adhesive period), ´´Ligua´´ (unique in this issue), ´´Quillota´´ with three in this issue. Second London Printing: ´´S. Bernardo´´ & ´´Franca´´ (probably unique with both postmarks), ´´Peralillo´´ (two covers reported in this issue), ´´Valdivia´´ and ´´Molina´´ (both items being probably unique for this printing), very scarce ´´San Fernando´´ in red and black, ´´Melipilla´´ in blue, ´´Limache´´ in red. Santiago P.O. Printing ´´Estancos´´ with ´´Cauquenes´´ (very probably unique), ´´Curacavi´´ (unique in this issue),  ´´S. Antonio Puerto de las Bodegas/EST.´´ (probably unique in this printing), extremely rare combination of ´´Franca´´ & ´´S. Carlos´´, two covers with ´´Nancagua´´ and´´Peumo´´ (each one being very probably unique), ´´Valdivia´´ in red (two items known in this issue), ´´S. J. de Londomilla/EST.´´ which is extremely rare and probably unique, the just two covers known with the mute grid cancel of Chañarcillo, ´´Osorno´´ (two covers are believed to exist in this issue), extremely rare ´´Tierra/Amarilla.´´. Last London Printing:  red ´´S. Antonio Puerto de las Bodegas/EST.´´ (believed to be the only item extant in this printing), very rare ´´P°. Del Huasco´´, ´´Yumbel´´ & ´´Franca´´ used together on one cover (unique thus), an exceedingly rare use of a datestamp, being ´´Constitución/Chile´´, on imperforate classic Chilean stamps. (The study to determine the quantity of items recorded has been mainly possible thanks to the depth work of research developed by Álvaro Pacheco). Handstamps originating from other localities such as Chalinga, Freirina, Talcahuano, San Carlos, San Antonio, Rengo, Chillán, Casablanca, Ovalle, Tomé, etc., also deserve to be mentioned. It includes an important quantity of items which also graced the collections of the most renowned collectors of classic Chilean philately, including: Baron Etienne de Viron, Blank, Camino, Dupont, Gálvez, Hubbard and Mena. On the other hand, it mainly embodies the famous collection gathered by Ángel Menéndez, making this one of the best assemblies of this kind ever formed.
