1854-61, 10r. blue, large margined horizontal pair, in mixed franking with "Dom Pedro" 1866 100r. green, two examples (defective), tied by cork cancels on 8 May 1869 cover from Rio de Janeiro to Pernambuco, carried by the Royal Mail Co. SS "Douro". 220r. franking with 100r. paid for domestic Brazilian postage, plus 120r. for the coastal sea rate due to the British P.O. (1853 Convention).
